In Memory of What Was Lost

Everybody has someone who cares about them. It's nice to have someone like that. For 6 straight years, you've had that same person caring for you. Constantly, they were by your side. They'd never betray you, and if so, it always turned out to be a misunderstanding. You stayed with that person for so long. You had it perfect with them. A betrayer, nonsense. This was your content best friend. They had your back and supported with everything you had, and wanted. It was somebody to say to you when you're upset and you lie and say you're okay, "No you're not," and that feeling is good. They just simply loved you. You had that same feeling back for them. You always felt like they would be there for you, and that they'd be with you. Everyday and night, you wanted them. You couldn't bare to spend a moment apart. So, every moment of every day was your guys' time to be you. Together is what you were. Always together through what life brought to you. There was nothing that could split you apart. Nobody got between you. You had your other close friends, but they were something special. You loved everyone around you, and loved them most, though. You never said it, but it was true. You just simply loved them, and they simply loved you. Nothing would have changed that... in your mind.

Say you lost the person who cared about you. They told you to move on from them. So, you do as they say. Finally, you find someone who cares enough to stay with you for a while. You feel so at home with this person, like they have to stay with you forever. You feel they care, and it's more than what you thought it'd be. They told you, "I care." and they kept constantly saying it. Love was just there. They clearly cared for you. They were happy to take the place of your past friend for now. Suddenly, after spending time with them, like they were your own, someone says something. About you and them. They make fun of you for spending so much time with each other, and for having that one person. Suddenly, your interest drops for them. If you are going to be made fun of for them, why do it? So, you talk it through with them, and you go your seperate ways. You're left alone because of that person who made fun of you, and the person who you lost first. Loneliness is down your road, and all you can do is cry and listen to songs you can relate you. Now, you don't have a person to relate to. Nobody to make you laugh, smile, or make you feel like home. It's all just... gone like that. Just gone. You never thought it would end, but it did...

This is the first story. The friendship that was just suddenly lost. The one that meant something. The one that you had for those six years, that you never thought would end. The one that you had friends to say you aren't okay.

The second story was true, as well. That's when the friendship of Riley Matthews and Farkle Minkus was explained. It was the one about the friendship that was made fun of, and they just left each other because of that. No more Farkle and Riley was there, anymore.

In my life, this is what was worth fighting for. This was it. Now, I can't even fight for this, so what do I fight for? Now, all I have is the memory of what was lost.
